A little update,I tested the car with the new convertor yesterday.

Right off the trailer 9.32@147 with a 1.38 60 ft on M/T Drag Radials.

I then procede to put the boost to it to try take it into the 8s,But it didnt like hooking the radials that hard and proceded to shear all the teeth of the ring gear on the next launch.Guess ya cant complain about a 20 year old factory gear set

So its getting a replacement set of 3.42s this week.

So was it the radials that broke the ring gear then?

They hook real good,But the car got wheel hop on that run,
That is what i believe caused it.Besides being original 87 gears with
100s of passes on them

Ya if i only take 400#s out to your 9.20 weight it might be as fast or put 50#s of boost in it

May 21st this car is getting parted out.

I will be keeping most of the electronics for the new project.
