So, pan is off for trans service, was going to do the 700 filter mod, but won't fit with stock pan. First "oops"... So, have a Stage Right brake sitting on the shelf, thinking "hmmm... since I am in here..." Well, my valve body gaskets are wrong... Second "oops"... Looking at the instructions that came with the brake, there are only 4 pages, loose so not in order (not even sure they have to be?), but it looks like it may be incomplete. I know there are a handful of guys here who have or are still running them, so was looking to confirm the instructions. Can anyone hook a brother up? I don't want to mess it up and have a third, very costly "oops" by doing it wrong.

BTW, Donnie, hold on to those gaskets, I will be picking them up from you very soon!

Also, picked up a filter for the 200 from Napa, and I usually go with WIX. All they had was "ATP". Should I wait for a WIX!?

If I remember right you have to shorten the 700 filter by 1/8" James, as well as move a few things around to prevent some electrical problems.:)

Hmmm... Charlie, if that is the case, I may be ok. Everywhere I read you shorten the metal line that is looped from one end of the VB to the other. Off to re-edumacate myself...

I've actually got a spacer for my pan so I can use the 700 filter without any mods James. It's not very think but it and the 2 gaskets would solve the issue.

That's the one I've got James. Chris offered it a while ago discounted so I got one. I have considered selling it but I haven't gotten into the tranny yet so I haven't made up my mind.

Yeah, and ~$100 isn't really that bad, but it is $100 less I will get back from the car when/if I sell it... And, I hate having the car sit for so long.

Please don't cut the filter. I don't understand why you would have to mess with the tube, either.
The 700 filter is thicker, doesn't lay against the VB correctly, so you either need a spacer for the pan, or better, a deep pan properly modified to take the filter.
Watch out about shorting the electrical, too.

Yes, I agree. Not planning on cutting anything, it doesn't seem necessary on mine. A spacer or deep pan is necessary, but not going to happen I don't think. Trying not to put too much $ into it at this point. Would be different if I were keeping it. I have the electrical covered; put a few layers of heat shrink over the connector, so it is good to go.

Donnie, I will be over there before lunch probably to pick up the gaskets. You have those deep pans in stock? Hmmm...

Nope. Not at the moment. Takes a day to get one.
