Starter pic for 1984 T Type

Hello everyone, I'm new here and just purchased a 1984 Buick T Type for a great price. It needs work and I'm trying to verify starter wiring. I looked all over web and could not find a pic of starter wiring, can someone please post a pic? There are three connections, battery cable, a set of wires, and a small wire, thanks and appreciate the help.

It's basically the same as an SBC starter. Big post on top is the hot and run (big eyes on wires) and the little one is what makes the starter connect. It should be on the post closest to the block at the 3 o clock position.

Thanks for the reply charlief1, now I'm in bigger trouble lol, I actually had it wired that way but it smoked when I went to start it, now I need to figure out what is wired wrong

Take the starter off and have it bench tested.
