This is the 200 in my 87 GN. It was bone stock and worked perfect, but I wanted firmer shifts. I put the CK shift recalibration kit in and it firmed up the shifts and works perfect at wot. The issue I'm having started immediately after the kit install and is at part throttle. All shift points are the same as stock except for the 2-3 shift which happens very quickly now almost right after the 1-2 shift. At about 20 mph this makes the tranny quickly hunt back and forth between 2nd and 3rd and the only way to stop it is to speed up or put the shifted into 2 and then shift up manually at a higher speed. All other shift points and functions are perfect and again, its only the part throttle 2-3 shift that is messed up. The cable is adjusted correctly and if anything on the snug side as it will shift into OD at about 47mph. What determines the 2-3 shift and why would it now be screwed up and the only thing screwed up?

Have you thought about changing the spring for 3rd gear valve? It will give you a higher PT but will only change WOT slightly in my experience.

Tightening the cable raises all the shift points and makes the part throttle 1-2 obnoxious. 2-3 still happens right after the 1-2 just at a higher speed and OD is at about 50.

From a design standpoint the kit doesnt change the shift points in the rpm range, but only the operating pressures and shift feell/oil flow to the clutches.Based on the results of tightening the cable the tv system is working properly. This is not a complaint that would point to the kit or improper installation of the kit,but still a complaint.Could it be the increased flow and pressure actually makes the trans shift earlier in the rpm range because of the abscense of the 2 ballchecks and smaller feed holes we have designed into the plate?I would have to initially say no because of the widespread usage and success our customers have had with it.There are over 200 kits out there in use with the the newest plate as well as a few hundred others with the earlier type.If you are located close to someone that I do testing and or business with I suggest contacting me and we can get a road test done and cable readjust to point us in the direction of the next logical step for a remedy.

I installed a new CK plate to help with my apply timeing, now it shifts great.
If I leave in D I find it hangs on to 2nd longer then if I leave in OD is this normal?

I did remove the super servo and put the stock one back in after I blocked the 1-2 accumilator shifts great now and I can still bark the tires 1-2 with the 3600 stall converter.

Chris, when it stops raining/snowing around here I would be happy to have someone familiar with my setup help figure this out. Besides the premature, part throttle 2-3 shift, everything else works as good or better than before and all of the other part throttle shift points are normal. This is a light throttle issue that improves as throttle input is increased. The more throttle the closer the 2-3 gets to where it should be and by WOT the 2-3 change is perfect. The easiest way to describe how it feels around town would be to say that under normal driving conditions the TV cable is set just right for 1-2 and 3-4 but its somehow loose for 2-3.
