Stock GN's look out for F-150's! Sounds crazy doesn't it?

I would be suspicious of that. Why would they not sell you a extended warranty? Was the asking price any cheaper since it was not a so called "certified car?
It was about 3 grand cheaper. An that's why I didn't buy it. It was weird. I don't want to have to worry about my daily driver

I have the 2.0 eco boost in my fusion. With 240hp 270tq it is pretty peppy.

As an Ecoboost owner (3.5 V6 twin turbo, Lincoln MKT) I can personally attest to their sheer power in pure stock form. I know nobody was really watching during our last Turbo Buick/Gbody nats in N.C. but I had a little shootout with the two F150's that were there, and managed to squeek out a victory over both.
One was a two wheel drive (XRay's truck) which I took down quite handilly because of his traction disadvantage. The other, a 4 wheel drive of Paul Ferry's was a tough!!! competition!!!! We were only separated by a few hundreths at the line but I did get the best two out of three on that one.
Running 9.3's all day!! Not sure what 9.3 would equate to in the quarter, but it was fun!!!! With my AWD I was able to launch on the foot brake at WOT (which was only 2#'s of boost). During the run in stock form it pushes on average about 10# of boost. All that with 10.5:1 CR, and on 87 octane gas!! I think with 93 octane and had I remembered to turn traction control off, I might have been able to do better.

I thought 9.3's were pretty good for my 5,000# Lincoln with a little V6 in pure stock trim!!!

These little twin turbo V6's are a hoot, and I already know a couple Ford Flex owners that are in the 12.10's and shooting for 11's on a razor's alky kit and a tune.

Dave, I know that you all are talking speed, but can you shed some light on gas mileage? What do you get going down the interstate and speed? Also what do you get when you pull your car and speed?

I'm driving a Lincoln MKT AWD so I don't pull anything. But. Highway mileage I get 22-23 depending on terrain, and I cruise at about 68mph. On my Wife's daily commute to work (60 miles round trip) which is about 40% urban and the rest highway it averages 20-22. So far it's overall average since I bought it is 21.1. I log every ounce of gas that goes through it. 5,000# 7 passenger crossover!!

My daily driver is a F150 FX4 ecoboost have had it since feb 2011 and I can't wait to get rid of mine. Dealer wont even look at my problems, and have gone to a few of them. Thing is pig rich if I get on it you would think I had a diesel in it,blow black crap out exhaust. Ford knows it is a problem in some of the first released trucks but wont do anything. I only get a average of 12-14mpg mix of city highway. Have friends with 2012 models and they get what sticker says. It does tow great though

Have you checked the gaps on your spark plugs? The gaps on the earlier trucks seem to be all over the place. The gaps on the newer trucks are tighter and more consistant. Lots of people on the F150 forums tightened the gaps down to .030 and have seen improvements.
The 1st pic is my lifetime avg. with 35" mud terrains. The 2nd pic is my avg. with 35" MT's and Livernois 91 tune.

Nope never checked the plugs. Only have 2 more months then can turn it in early,it is a lease. Someone will get a low mileage truck. Just turned 20000 miles on it. Would of drove it more if it got the mileage posted. I had 15000 mile a year lease also. So way under

It's a 2wd crewcab and 16.9 was on a 250 mile highway trip.

wish I was getting 16.9 mine is 4x4 max towing package Pic when I first picked it up. but hopefully they will have some deals in a few months when I turn it in. would like to get a awd flex again. or explorer. I get A plan so will stick with Ford again. Only reason I had a truck was to tow the drag bike, which I sold to buy the GN so don't really need it anymore I guess

I have been told by a couple of others that this is about what they are getting so we have not taken it in yet . Another friend told me that his IC had to be updated due to some sort of cold start/stumble problem. I can't imagine why the IC would cause start up problems.

the IC problem I was told was water getting in there and when you accelerate hard it would suck it in the motor and stale or stumble. I know of one person that had his replaced

We just repaired a 2012 hit hard in the front and come to think of it the IC was on back order. When it was finally received it was made a little different.

You guys that have the crew cab, do you like how the cab gets pressurized when the rear windows are rolled down at highway speed? This is truck #4 for us and Ford has not improved it.

I hate that. my other crewcab I had wasn't as bad as this one. feels like my ears are going to explode

I know better than to roll them down but try keeping the kids off of the window switches on a trip. I could pick this truck apart with all of the little things. Oh BTW drop the hood and watch the grille shake like it's going to fall out.
