I bought a 87 GN that the previous owner was going to have all the brackets, pullys, exhaust either chromed or powder coated...well...he lost intrest in the project and it's now mine to try to put back together. I've attached a photo showing the items I have questions about.

1. Is their a donut gasket that goes on the output of the turbo to the downpipe? If so, were can I buy one.

2. I need to know where I can order the bolt with the spring that connects the downpipe to the turbo

3. On the turbo, is their a gasket that goes in-between the 2 pieces in the pic.

Thanks!!

Steve

The bolt for the exhaust is available at Auto Zone in the help section.
The gasket for the three bolt are not really needed but can be had at the parts store as well. As far as a donut gasket I don't recall mine having one but that doesn't mean it wasn't there. You can also call Jack Cotton he is a great resource to have.

The donut gasket is available at NAPA (EXH31511) for $17.89 they also have the bolt to connect the down pipe to the turbo, shouldn't be more than a couple of bucks. There is no gasket between the turbine housing and the exhaust elbow.

17.89 for the lead donut is rediculous

you can get that included in a turbo gasket kit from felpro (part # ES72697) for under 12bucks and includes the drain gasket and inlet bell gasket
ES72697 at PartsAmerica.com (advance auto)

for the turbo to header there wasnt a gasket there originally but if you like there is a copper one available from sce, call cottons
same goes for the elbow to the turbo none originally but there is a composite available , again call cottons

Jason from RJC has the turbo to manifold gasket .. Been great on Melissa's GN

We actually carry all 3 gaskets. I just checked I have the copper & the turbo to exhaust housing on line.
