Just buy a rebuilt turbo from bison and don't have to worry about it. Do it once and do it right. You go and put unbalanced parts in there and it blows up your just throwing money out the window
 
^.....and debris down the engine.


This is one instance where you need to park the car until you can fix it right. You'll feel really bad if you grenade an engine trying to save a couple hundred.
 
Y'all are right. I am trying to be too cheap. It is not a daily driver so it is not a big deal if it doesn't run.

I bought a car once with a turbo that looked like someone jammed a metal rod on the cold side of the turbo. Well I had to do the rear main seal because car sat forever and it was suggested do swap timing chain at the same time. When I yanked the cover apart to repack it for priming it had a good size gouge in it which I suspect a piece of the turbo went through there and gouged cover and messed up the gears. Do what you want but you have been given good advice
