Was bored today, and had turbo off already and figured a little porting never hurt anyone..anyway a few pics should give a good idea on what I've done, I'm open to any suggestions or feedback on what I have or haven't done right or wrong...thanks Mike

I started by filling the hole in the inlet bell, I then went on to clean that up by removing the step and smoothing out, on the housing you can see the first pics where I marked the step on the housing, so I took all that down to a nice smooth transition, then finished by matching the bell to the housing. I also cleaned up the outlet a little bit, not sure if cleaning and smoothing will help any but I figured it couldn't hurt any thoughts....Mike

The work you have done will help if you have already eliminated the inter cooler restriction and ex restriction. Also anything you can do to get the radius of the compressor wheel closer to the diffuser( of course without contact) will increase the mass flow potential.

Thanks Bison, I already have the dutt neck on, also opened the outlet on I/c a little, also opened up and cleaned the elbow a good amount. So your saying getting the radius of the impeller closer to the housing? So what's done there? A little machining to the backside of the housing? How close is it usually? And how close do you go?? Thanks Mike

It's probably around .020". You can get it a little closer but be careful. Also any inlet restriction needs to get removed any measurable vacuum at the inlet will cut right into the compressors efficiency potential

Got ya, I'll prob just rock with this stocker for now as is, just trying to get the most out of what I have...Mike
