Well I'm pumped, I know its not setting any records, although for a TOTALLY Stock, Turbo, Intercooler, injectors (WAY LEAN), and Through the FULL Exhaust with WITH Cat (3" high flow) I think its rather good, opionions.

Basic recipe upgrades, Race jace power plate, 20Lbs Boost, 7Lb launch on M & H 26" DOT's, Converter LOCKED with paper clip, approximatly 102 Octane (Full tank of 100 with a gallon of Xylene).

1/8th 8.008
mph 85.77
1/4 12.589 @ 107.29


The pass before, at 17-18lbs., with NO converter lock-up, I got a 12.942@104.30. I was WAY lean on the 12.56 and I'm sure I got up to 8 to 9 degrees of retard at the big end (Laptop battery DIED just before the pass)

Opinions?
 
do you have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator on it? Good time with it tho. I think there's more in it. You could prob squeeze another tenth on the 60'. Put some 110 octane in (you'd have to get rid of the cat) and pump up the boost and fuel pressure. You tryin to retain completely stock parts? Sounds fun.
 
Unfortunatly I have to keep the cat, as otherwise this 3" ATR exhaust would be TOO LOUD for my 42 year old ears! At least I'll save money this time on O2 sensors.

But I DO need injectors as I'm WAYY lean, like 690's on the big end.
I think I've got a bad injector or 2 as I've seen Stockers good for 110mph before.

On another note, at Maple Grove, as usual I was the ONLY TR there! And the tech inspectors here, my God their brutal (Compared to Atco & Etown), they told me to REMOVE my center caps, my New Helmet is NO GOOD(doesn't have the latest Snell rating).
 
Good times. Watch the knock closely. The big drop in mph from your 1/8th mile to 1/4 mile is evidence that you were retarding the timing at the big end, alot. The rule of thumb with these cars is their should be a 25 mph difference between your 1/8th mile and 1/4. If not, your eaither too rich or too lean. Get some injectors or run higher octane and you should be O.K.
 
Steve, yes once I throw a NEW set of Blue Tops in there, I'll up the boost!
I realize that I "Should" just put 50's in there and be done with it, I just don't have $450.00 laying around at the moment!!
 
pretty good feeling isnt it? my car just went 12.9 @ 106 on nittos.
i pulled a 1.9 60. with a better 60 my et would be down near the 12.5s. my car is bone stock too. stock turbo/heads/intercooler/injectors. the car also needs valvesprings and has 118k miles on it. and there's more in it. that was only with 20 lbs of boost. 12.5s here we come. mods are in sig. 12s are SO MUCH better than 13's.:)

My chevy go's........... lo-- um..... well it go's, and it does get 20 mpg! Hey .can't have everything, It does look cool! and ....well.. um........ it gets 20 mpg, I said that didn't I?

wow, they must've gotten a lot more strict since the last time i was up there(last year)

Atco tech is a joke, they don't check for anything :D

03 Cobra, saw him go an 11.93@120, car only had 200 miles on the Odom., Drag Radials, and a Pulley & Chip, & Cat back - The crowd went nuts!!
 
very nice time! when i was stock...(stock turbo, intercooler, injectors, motor, trans, rear end) i ran 12.2 @ 112 mph with a 1.70 60 foot with slicks...110 leaded race gas...boost turned up to 23 lbs on the stock turbo, and i launched with 10 lbs of boost with no wheel spin...this of course was on a 45 degree night...that's the fastest i ever got my car with the stock parts...btw my stock injectors could not possibly flow any more fuel than that! plus the turbo was maxed out at 23lbs...if you run any more boost, all it does is blow really hot air and will cause you to knock big time (trust me i know...i tried running 25-26lbs on the stocker before...not smart!)

with ALL those mods its still called stock???...my wifes daily driver 87 we4 ..runs 8.05@ 85 in the 1/8 on drag radials,sp-10 chip,hotwire,k&n filter,adjustable FPR....stock turbo,injectors,intercooler,downpipe,fuel pump...the motor had comp 979-12 springs tho....:) joe

Good times. There is still more in it. I just laid down some 12.6's@108 with stock turbo, injectors, and intercooler with 15lbs boost, 94 octane, and 225/50 radials with a fully optioned GN. Last year I went 12.3's@107 with DR's, and a shot stock turbo. Just to compare, last year I borrowed a PTE51, and with 17psi, It went 115mph with a lean miss in 2nd (only 84mph in the 1/8). Talk about top end.
 
You are the same as me mph wise, the only difference is I cant launch:mad:
Hoping to fix that this weekend.
If you put some real racegas in and turn up the FP a couple of lbs you should be able to get 110mph.
