Street Brawler 12" Orange Stripe

Does anybody like or recommend this torque converter?

I've been running it for 3 years now in a low 12 second car, typically launching with 1.7 60 ft times, maybe 50 passes and 6000 spirited street miles near this performance level. The converter and my stock trans are still working fine but the car is getting faster and faster as I continue to upgrade it. I plan to take the trans to Jimmy's in Mundeleine hopefully BEFORE it breaks or slips, but I'm not sure if I should necesarily upgrade the converter.

Has anyone trashed one of these converters in the 11.5 sec range?

When will it crap out for sure??

I have run three of them, never stalled at 3K more like 2200-2400.
Joe B (geerhead) cut my orange stripe open this past summer and he was not impressed at all with its construction. He could tell you more. I only could build about 2-3 pounds of boost at the line with it, PTE60 turbo and port and polished heads. I went with a 9/11 3K from Bruce and it stalls @3k and boost at the line is about 7-9 PSI before it breaks loose. The 9/11 is nice but I can tell it is a 3K when driving it around town.

I will probably upgrade the converter when I have the trans freshened up. It has worked like it was supposed to (3000 stall, 15+ PSI launches) but I have my worries about it holding together if I push it much harder.
