I had some good results at Morocco on Saturday, Sept 17 on what I think is a street setup.....which is stock appearing/TSS trim, street legal tires/DRs, pump gas, through the mufflers, and maybe even small shaft turbo. I've ran a couple times at local eighth mile tracks and was into the low 7s, but really wanted to see how the setup did through the quarter. I'd also had been rained out locally before I could really test out the DRs with a hard launch.
I drove 2 hours and 100 miles to the Morocco, IN track and made three runs, my best being the first (in signature), spun out second pass in the inside lane, and ran 11.1 on the third and last pass. My only change at the track was to drop the rear tire pressure to 17 lb. For now I'm holding at 24 psi and there's more in the car with some tuning on the TT chip on the low end and more boost. I've only adjusted the alky ramp at this point on top of a Turbotweak 92 chip.
The TSM cars were running real strong at the event with a couple that were in the finals running a 9.9 and 9.7. I believe Scott Simpson had his best time at 10.1 also. Who made it to the event this year, and if you are into the street car setup, what is it? Did anyone else get some good runs in? I didn't get to talk to too many people this year.
One last thing is I'd like to thank Chopper at Limit on the turbo which picked up 26.4 mph on the top end and of course Razor for a fine alky kit. I don't know too much about the new turbos, but I'm going to stick with this "old school" small shaft TA 62. Props to MT for their new DRs also!
