stripping all the paint off of a stock intercooler = more efficent?

i was just wondering if i stripped all the paint off my stock intercooler if it would be more efficent?

I would think that every little thing helps, but you definitely wouldn't feel a difference in power, or even see a difference. I am going to strip the paint off my f/m mainly because the goof that painted it didn't use clear coat or anything to protect the paint and bugs, and even spray from the hose while washing the car, is stripping the paint off very badly. I almost see as much silver as I do black on the i/c.

If its engine paint, do it. It could be choking the fins more than rad paint would. But are you going to see or feel something, doubt it unless your running low 10's maybe.

But if it rad paint or powder coating, forget about it.
