Hey sorry if this may sound stupid to some but I did a search and coudnt find any info, I bought a hollow sway bar that I was considering getting powder coated and was wondering if the process could change the metals properties in any negative ways ? I know that they reach temps of 500* during the curing process. Anyone ever consider this? Thanks

No, powder coating won't hurt the sway bar. It may sound hot, but 500 degrees is not high enough to change mechanical properties. Over a period of time, you can use 500 degrees on some things, like castings, to "stabilize" them, and relieve stresses so that the pieces don't warp. But for something like a hardened steel sway bar, 500 degrees F is no biggie.
