Well, I realize there aren't too many on here from Indiana, and since my inquiring mind needed to know, I just called the Sun Oil terminal here in town. I related what I've read here to the guy, about the MTBE being banned in some states, and he said they haven't heard anything about changing the 94 here in the state. It seems our dearly departed governor who just passed on had signed legislation to limit the amount of MTBE in fuel to 0.5% by volume, starting July '04. I think I read that right. A Yahoo search found lots of info on this, broken down by state, dates, etc. The guy said he didn't believe limiting the MTBE in the gas here would make them lower the octane rating anyway.

So is less MTBE good for performance? F the environment, let's get down to what's important!!! j/k

What are you guys complaining about, here in the west the highest is 91, and some places have only 89, that is the crap we
have to use.

For all of you MI natives looking for 100-octane gas...

Click on this link (home page for the Michigan Buick Turbo Club) --> LINK

At the bottom of the left-hand side, click on the "Local Race Gas" link.

We keep a running list of stations that sell race gas. The best link is the "Click here for Sunoco's web site..." link. Sunoco lists all of their stations across the country that sell 100-octane. Also note that many Speedway stations sell "CAM2" racing fuel, which is the same stuff as Sunoco 100-octane.

In Canton, there is a Sunoco station that sells 100-octane for $3.49 (corner of Ford Road and Haggerty). About a block away, there is a Speedway that sells CAM2 (100-octane) for $3.99 (corner of Ford Road and Liley). It's weird, but really nice. :D
