Considering how much time I and others spend on this board has anyone considered setting up a voluntary "Paypal donation link"?

If it was voluntary im sure many members would be willing to make a donation to keep this site running efficiently.

Give people the option of donating annually, Bi-annually or whatever. And those that donate would get a "Supporting member" icon next to their screen name.

$5.00 Donation would get a Supporting member Bronze star.
$10.00 Donation would get a Supporting member Silver star.
$20.00 donation would get a Supporting member Gold star.

As much time as some of us spend on this board acquiring FREE technical information im sure many of us would choose to contribute to improve the site.

Just send your donation to me so i can build a TSO motor:biggrin:

I would be in for a gold star:biggrin: LETS GET ER GOING GUYS,

Great Idea GNBRETT:cool:

Good idea Brett! I would be all for this and would be happy to send in what I can a year.

I have spoke to SGRIM in the past and he has sent me the vendor costs and there is just no way I can afford that a year as just a single person selling one $200 item. I'm disabled and on disability with no job trying to keep afloat in this economy with a family of four. I would be more than happy to send in what I can, to help support in any way I can.

I'm sure some will say "why pay when it's free now". Others I think would gladly support the board. Maybe we could get some new search features or something with some additional member revenue.

I belong to candlepowerforums.com (HID, flashlight forum) and they have something similar for supporting members.

It was just food for thought....

Lol.... its the HID flashlight obsession I have. Of course I could buy a new turbo for price of the flashlight I put a deposit on last week...

It's what single guys do with their money who have no real responsibilities I guess...:D

Yea.. that would give the other board something to talk about for months.
