So im trying to install my TA replacement headers and the top bolts are too long in my GN1 heads, is this a common problem? Theyre .29 away from the header on the micrometer.

When installing headers on alum heads, my preference is to use studs and a flange nut with copper gaskets.

If too long a bolt is driven into an alum head, you can break into a water passage.

An allen set screw make a good choice, just measure lengths needed and get them at your local hardware.

Another option that also works fine is to use stock header bolts, as they will work fine and the serrated washer holds real well.
