Use some tranny fluid in it because it has a high detergent content. This will help clean everything out first. 30 minutes at an idle should do it. Then do the oil change with the CD2 additive to help clean it more. If the knock doesn't go away then supect the cam is bad.

Sorry i am SLOW
With current old oil in the engine
1-Add ONE quart of trans fluid to the oil
2-let run at idle for 30 minutes
3-Then do an oil change
4-To the new oil add a can of CD2 to better clean everything up.
5-let run at idle for 30 minutes AGAIN
6-then do another oil change with my regular stuff?????
