TB bypass...is it even worth anything?

I was thinking of doing this free mod, is it worth anything, or are the gains just a myth?
So far, I've done the following...

1. Billet inlet bell
2. 160* t-stat
3. Upgraded intercooler hoses, removed and cleaned intercooler
4. Open base lid for airbox
5. Typical tuneup items...fuel and air filters, plugs and wires, new wastegate solenoid, replaced wastegate vacuum hoses, Tomco O2 sensor, PCV, Kirban breathers.

I'm waiting on my Racetronix Walbro and hotwire kit (hopefully by tomorrow). After that's in, I'm going to get a Thrasher chip, adjustable wastegate actuator and boost/fuel pressure gauges.
I think I'm on the right track...I was just wondering if the TB bypass was even worthwhile.

I haven't dyno'd it on the GN, but it was worth 5HP and 7 ft.lbs on my 97 WS6 T/A. The principle of cooler intake temps will still apply. Besides that, it's a free mod.... just don't expect more than a few horses.

Don't loop an original or old hose. They don't like it much. They will burst on you.

New hose if you are going to loop and bypass.

Just my .02 from being stranded almost an hour until I could find some water.

On my "stock appearing car" I just stuck some plastic plugs inside the hoses.

I'm counting the days until someone tells me "if you loop that hose you'll go faster" And then I say "faster than low 11's?". hehehe

I glanced at it tonight when I was outside tinkering around in the garage.
I only noticed one hose into the TB on the passenger side. Where does the coolant exit? And what is this "loop and bypass"?

The coolant comes out the bottom of the TB, back to the rails near where the inlet hose is. The top hose goes to the "to the heater" rail. The bottom hose Tee's into the "from the heater" rail.

You can loop a hose between the to rails or put a plug in the inlet hose.
