This recent thread gave me an idea.... Does anyone have any good quotes from so called TB experts?? (you know what I mean)

Ill start it off

"that twin turbo gnx has more hp in one cylinder than what most of these funny ass ricer hondas have total lol.. this car is classic and if anyone one has something to say f*** you. ok"

OR

"thats the hurst olds 442 i got the same car on 22's it will whoop that g/n stock to stock my dad has a g/n and i dont se him and both cars are similiar"

Oh yeah, just the other day; this older guy pumping gas next to me...

HIM: Hey, cool car!

ME: Thanks man.

HIM: Ain't that a GS?

ME: Nah its a Grand National. The GS was out in the 70s.

HIM: Nah, I was pretty sure that was a GS.

ME: No man, its a GN.

HIM: Are you sure??? I'm pretty sure its a GS!

ME: (irritated now) Dude! Its my car, I should know! Trust me, its a Grand National!

HIM: (throws his hands up) Alright man, whatever you say...

Real genius, this guy

I have been asked if mine is an "international" and I asked "Like a Travelall?" ;)

"Is that your Monte Carlo?"

"Even with a turbo, those cars will still slower than a stock 5.0." (Mustang guy quote)

"Those are the same wheels as the General Lee!"

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

"I thought Grand Nationals are Black."

"That little V8 sounds nice."

Pumping gas in the wagon.. Guy looks at the tailgate decal .."I didn't know they offered a Turbo V6 in a big wagon" I just replied it was an option :p Wait till they see the RX7 experimental V6 Turbo

My favorite.... Advanced Auto Parts...small town in Sc

Me..I need to look up a coolant "s" line for an 86 Grand National, may also be under 87"
Him..Is that on the heater core?
me..nope, it is coming off the water pump.
Him..oh...ok let me look there....is that a truck??
me.. yup......
him..Wow, that truck was turbocharged!!
me..yeah, most were but mine was twin turbocharged. The FBI bought them as work trucks and did alot of bolt on work to them. It's called the GNX package...
him.. OHHHHH, I think my grandpa had one!
me..see, not as uncommon as you would think :D You should pass the info on. They need some recognition!

Here is another YouTube expert trying to argue with me.... I told him to just do some research before inserting his foot in mouth...

"lmao dude do some research yourself. The T type regals were not faster than the GN. They had smaller turbos and a differant gearing and a differant suspension platform. What are ya man like 19 0r 20? i had a 86 Grand national in highschool had it for 6 years. You need to look it up there was only like 4 or 500 Gns that came in the metallic silver. The GN was the fastest production car out of GM back in those days they came out in 84 and last production was 1987 With the GNX"

I hope the "metallic silver" gn's he was referring to was the 82 1/2.... But then again who knows because he claims they came out in 84..
Everything else is just funny:)

At a stoplight the other day I got one I had never gotten before. This guy hollers out of his window, "Hey, is that a Gran Torino?".

Someone attempted to break into my garage a few weeks ago, the responding officer wanted to call his Lt. and other officers over to see the car. First words out of Lt.'s mounth, "Wow, that is probably like the number one stolen car of all time."

Haha! Wait.....I don't get it......

I own a hot air (non intercooled) had a person at the Nats no less ask why I relocated the motor so far back, um dude that's the stock location. Really?? I'll have to check that on my 87 when I get home. You do that...

... BG this weekend, it took me half the day to get my 3 year old to understand that there weren't Chevelles all over the place. I was afraid he was going to offend one of the GS guys. At least my kids dismiss all the Monte Carlos and say they look like a GN.
