TE44 to TA61

Is it much of a jump to go from a TE44 to a TA61? I've been doing a bit of research on this and all the latest stuff is on the PT61 or GT61P. This car is 90% street, with good supporting mods including 57's, 3200 stall, & FMIC. Is this upgrade worth the couple hours of work, or should I jump to a 63, 65, 66, or 67?

I'm sure a lot of guys at my level are thinking about this next step, so . . .

Yeah, thanks. However, this raises another question - - can I get bigger wheels put in my TE44 to bring it up to speed?

Yes!! Call both John Craig @ 928-453-7321 "AND" Red Armstrong @ 440-235-3232 & ask both about upgrading. I would however check the price of upgrading your te44 to the GT61 & what the cost of brand new GT61 would be from them too & see which would be cheaper.

Darkside, The ta61 will scream. Its a 10 sec turbo from a long way back. You can boost the hell out of it and it will smile and ask for more. Third gear will really wake up with the upgrade you are asking about. Money wise sell yours first then purchase. THe te44 is a very popular street turbo.
