Te62 on unopened engine...with supporting mods

It won't run any good number at 23 psi. and with a bad 60 ft.

Well it will run about the same as a TA49. :smile:
 
although i like the 62mm turbo's i couldn't get one to run faster than the 49 at the track.not saying that it won't,but on the stock motor,the 49 is a great turbo.
 
Thanks for the info. I have a few guys who want the 49, and my buddy gave me the 62 for 50 bucks. It needs bearings, so its at PTE right now. I never got a good pass in my car last summer. I had tranny issues with 1st and 2nd all summer. My best passes were 12.63 and 12.66 @ 109 with a 1.9 60' with footbraking at zero boost. Those runs were at 24 psi. My car has been at Janis's shop since mid Oct. He cannot find what is wrong. He fixed it twice and it still wasted 1st and 2nd on him, right in front of his shop. Once he felt what it was doing, he told me that my times were way off from what they should be. He said the tranny never was holding full pressure in either gear. I have never even launched it with any boost yet nor have I used my trans brake. I think it has a bunch left in it, and I need to get my bigger inj, so I can get my Powerlogger hooked up. Then I can get some runs and get some logs for tuning.

Whats the difference between a te 62 and a te 63 reason being i have a te63 and i prematurely killed my stocker....Im wondering if i put my 63 on stock motor and trans with d5 will my car turn into a big turd...I have a ptc 9.5 but im not gonna put in my stock tranny im thinkin im gonna have janis build me a tranny when my pockets let me....My buddy went went 10.98 with the turbo last march and then upgraded to a 6765 journal so i bought it from him...

It will be a turd. Throw a recalibration kit in the stock one and convert to NL and use the 9.5"

With bigger injectors your should be able to get into the high 10s. I recently ran a 10.98 on a stock un-opened motor with a TA60 and good weather. I'm looking to try a TA62 or TE62 to see if I can get the caar into the 10.70s at 122 MPH.

Coach I have a old school 62 on my car, TT Speed Density Chip, 60/65 lb injectors, stock intake port matched, stock throttle body, short pipe w/K&N in engine bay, stock exhaust manifolds, .040 over diamond pistons, RJC Girdle, stock rods converted to floaters, Champion Iron Heads, 1:65 roller rockers, 210/215 roller cam, PTC 3200 lock-up (always race with it unlocked, it's a street car and love the highway cruises to meets) Built tranny with billet parts, fresh rear gears, H&R bar, M/T Street Radials, soft launch 22lbs 11.21 @ 122.78mph with a 1.70 60'.
