Ted a sets TSO record at Norwalk and is only allowed to keep it for less that 2 seconds. :) as Dave Fiscus blows by in the other lane to take it back in grand fashion. In the fastest side by side TSO pass ever in qualifing Ted went through the lights at 8.42 as I raised my hand in victory Dave went through in the other lane (he left 2 seconds after Ted) and the board lights up 8.31. Unbelievable!!!! He just leaves me standing there with my hand up and my mouth open. I just want to extend my personal conrats to Dave, Natalie and Cal for a job above and beyond. You guys just flat got it done. The Fiscus team has their stuff together and it shows. (Even on crappy 3 year old radials, which I will gladly take off your hands  ) Team Achatz has some work to do but we got some good data, so we will get to work and be back to compete at the next event. Hopefuly we can bring our "A" game and give Dave a better run. Also thanks to all the heads up guys for making the effort to all get along I have not had that much fun in a REALLY long time. :D

Congrats to both Ted and Dave! It is great to see the class getting faster!

We are looking forward to BPG! Hope to have a couple of BigWoodRacing cars there, along with the newly enchanced TurboBuick.com car:biggrin:

Too bad the scales werent working. Its amazing to see Dave pull that car down further and further into the 8's and on old DR's. I think he is afraid to try a different set of tires at this point. Why fix something that isnt broke? I cant wait to see what these cars lay down int he cool fall air at lower altitudes. Should be interesting. Maybe 8.20's:eek:

No doubt both Dave and Cruz put up numbers that would have went in the books if the scales were going. I do not know what is up with those radials but when he put the slicks on he slowed down a ton. I offered to buy the radials of course and was politely turned down. ;)

It slowed on the New slicks cause it wouldnt hook them with the same launch!
WE swapped the old Radials back on and 1.32 60 foots.

Congrats to Dave on the win and Ted,That car is beautiful and man it flys!
And Dave got lucky cause when he raced Dave he chopped him at the tree
with an .040 light!
That was a damn great drag race.

did anyone get any video of the race...that I would like to see....

We have video of it and will have to make a video of it.

Congrats to Dave on his car, it sure is flying to say the least. I even polished the back bumper him in hopes of getting a good view of it but I had my own problems and didn't make elims.

Ted's and Chris' car performed great all weekend also as did Jeff Harrington's.......congrats to all.

I would like to thank Dave and Otto for their help in getting me a rocker arm cup so I was at least able to get running for Sunday morning.....thank you both again.

Ted had to feel a lot like Sammy Sosa - breaks the major league single season home run record that had stood for decades, only happens to do it in a season where someone else hit even more than he did :-). There was great racing to be seen this weekend, that's for sure.

You know the funny thing is I was ecstatic to see the 8.42 that I didn't even look over at Daves time, he was behind me at the end of the track and I just assumed he didn't run it hard....... Boy what a surprise when I got back to the pits and looked at it... Well, it was fun trip from the timeslip booth to the pits at least.

Congratulations Ted!

all I can say is I hope we have a match up at the BPG event...does anyone have any video....someone must have something

Thanks Mike. I am very lucky to have a friend like Dave who lets me play a roll in his race program. Ted ran fast all weekend and was very consistant. Hopefully this rivalry will push both cars to run even faster at BPG

That is exactly how I feel Cal. Teds lets me live a little racing through him and I help where I can. It was a great weekend for me, good competition, good friends and good ice cream. We are looking forward to the BPG as well. see you there.

Congrats to both + the teams & all those that helped them get there!!!!

I was watching that run, and they announced the fastest TSO run was the 8.42, as Dave posted the 8.31. The announcer didn't correct himself, and I remember thinking "I'm not a math professor, but isn't 31 less than 42  Thought I was missing something there :)

FYI guys, Dave Fiscus is either the FASTEST or 2nd fastest person we have using our suspension parts! Can't find info on other car right now, which is a really big block Chevy (500 cu.in. ++) with a pro-charger on it, but they are neck & neck! And Dave does it with a little V-6 & limited to TSO rules & all steel body with power windows & 3500#!!!! Go man go!!!!!!! That REALLY says something for Dave & crew!!!

THANKS for letting me be part of the Fiscus Racing Enterprise experience too!! :D

Let's not forget I polished Dave's bumper so I guess you can say I had a hand too.........less dirt on bumper=faster car:biggrin:
