I actually just met Russ for the first time this past week, and he hasn't even gotten into my blown tranny yet, and all can say is that he is a stand up guy who really seems willing to help people. Especially ones new to the GN scene like myself. After talking with him for 20 minutes all my fears about what the outcome of my tranny will be were a thing of the past. He definitly is 100% into what he does, and that should make customers feel good about dropping serious money on a tranny or motor, or whatever.
As a new and hopefully longtime customer of Russ Merritt Performance, just want to let the crowd know what my first impressions were.

Eric

I can't wait to get into that thing!!!;) Wednesday morning it'll be well on it's way to recovery...... I'll def keep you posted Eric but should be done next week.......

lol oh man, Russ I am so jelous of you!!!!!!!!! I have always be a hand on guy on my cars period. I hate anyone else touching anything on the car at all because they can not do it good enough to suit me! I am just a jerk like that but when it comes to the tranny I have just never had anyone to teach me and it kills me to have someone else do it! Congrats and keep up the good work, I am sure that one will come along and be irratating sooner or later on yah but when it does, don't let it bother you. Stop , back away and noone gets hurt hahahahha. Get a breather and dig back in again! Thats the diffrence in a real mech and a wanta be. From what I have seen on here your a stand up guy that wants it to be perfect! Always keep that attitude and you can't go wrong. Good luck and happy new year man! Daniel Ray:biggrin:

Wow. Interesting thread to say the least. Well Russ, by now you probably realize that transmission builders are a proud breed. LOL. :p Your youthfull enthusiasm is refreshing. It harkens me back to my younger days. One good piece of advice. When that one nightmare client comes, and he will, don't let it harden you. One important thing to remember in business. You can't be everything to everybody. Just keep plugging along, looking out for the customer's interests and you'll do great. Welcome to Neverland and I wish you all the best.

If I could get this thread to die.........Be kinda cool too.......:D

Thanks for the support/advice!

Grumpy, Melissa's the least of my worries.......You on the other hand........

I plan on being that nightmare client, Russ. It sounds like a tough job, but somebody's got to do it, and I have lots of experience in that field. Just ask around.

LOL! Ya know Russ, you also need to learn about not taking certain jobs and letting them go down the road.

Come on guys. The guy wants to be left alone.
