freind of my bro in law went this weekend and the fastest run was a TT Lamb 255 or 254. for those who don't know what it is, it's a airport in the middle of nowhere and it's a mile of all you got and 1/2 mile to stop. just thought i would share it and you may be able to Youtube it as there are vids being posted of runs now. i've been and there are alot of nice cars out there with the average being around 150ish. i always wondered what my car would run but i want a scanmaster and no knock gauge before i try it. just curious as to what it would do, the big red one was out there last time i went and it's a 1000 HP 68ish camaro and it's too nice. look it up online, the owner was the nicest guy and even had dvd's and hats, and shirts to give out. anyone have any idea of top speed or something their TB would do all out?

Sorry your bro in law was wrong, the fastest car out there was SW's black Boost Logic MKIV Supra running 243 MPH. The TT orange UGR built Gallardo was not too far behind running 241 MPH. There were a few bikes that ran over 250 MPH, but no cars.

You don't want to try a turbo buick in a top speed mile competition. When my GN had the 3.8 with a 51 turbo and nitrous (probably a 12 second combo), my buddies bone stock LS1 6 speed would run me down by 140mph. These cars are the opposite of Supras, they have terrible aerodynamics, not a lot of high rpm hp, but a CRAPLOAD of low end torque which is why they are good at 1/4 tracks.

guess i was mis informed

his mechanic went out there and this was 3rd -4th hand info but he had a pic of a black lambroghini. i really wasn't looking to go all out and get crazy but i just wanted to see how she would do. i'm really cautious about really beating the hell out of it as i'm pretty conservative when i do drive it with a few times when i feel like watching the turbo gauge jump. thanks for the info on not running it, i doubt i will but was just curious. As stated i didn't want to really run it all out as i was worried i'd be trailering it back upset about a stupid decision of trying it. i went last spring and met the girl who drove the turbo busa. nice woman as most of the people out there, eddie baun out of houston had some crazy supra's that ran into the 240's when i was there. not sure what he ran this time but still to run that is insane. besides i'd love to get my hands on a 200 MPH club shirt and wearing it when i drive my GN. but i was being cautious and would have asked before i ran it next year as i said i wouldn't want to run it that hard without the scan master and knock gauge. So thanks for the info and look forward to going in the spring.

Look up UNGN on the board. He runs this as a regular habit but he's driving a Pontiac with a 500+ cid engine. There's a posted vid of him cutting the weeds down in one of his runs.

Remember a some years ago when some guy went 207mph in his GN in the Vegas 90 mile open road run and won it. Article was in that GM Tech mag. He did some aerodyne work though mine is airborne at 145mph.
