Got my tune right and found a dragstrip with cold air and found my way into the 11's with alky and a te44

Thanks to everyone who answered all my questions....im sure I will have more since I still dont know a whole lot about these cars. But it felt good....my hours of reading on this site everyday paid off.

Now after you do it a few times & get closer to 11.50 they will watch you if NHRA rules apply. It is fun being right at the 11.50 mark! Congrats!

Running 25lbs of boost at 25/21 timming

torque converter is stock, but janis said he reworked it for a higher stall.I also wired up a switch in the car so I could lock it up at around 70mph.

I have a lock up switch also and I flip it right after my burnout before launch.... The converter wont lock untill 2nd gear anyways.... Right??

11.6 is very impressive what the mods u have...especially for a reworked D5 congrads!!!!!

Thats awsome, I have pretty much the same setup, looking forward to tuning my car and seeing what i could get. the only thing different on mine is a percision SLIC and PTC 10" 2800 converter that i didnt install yet..

Gonna save my pennies this winter and upgrade my intercooler and add another 3lbs of boost. So far no knock with 110 race fuel and alky.

Also...does anyone have anymore suggestions as to how to shave some more time off my et?Not sure about upgrading heads cam and intake...seems like alot of coin....
I was thinking..........

front mount intercooler
light weight wheels (stockers feel super heavy)
aluminum drums

also is there a turbo I could run with my stock heads/intake/cam/converter that would produce better results than the TE44?
I understand its gonna require higher boost levels, but what might be more efficient at like 28 or so psi that would still spool like the 44?

I have basically your same setup. As soon as my heads arrive I am going to get serious about tuning.

No need to buy anything. Practice 60's. Get them down to 1.5s and you'll be-

That's a strong run right there. I'm doing a Vigilante converter on Wednesday and am hoping for similar results. Won't know until the snow melts in the Spring now though.

Yes! I did that for 2 years. Altho, I hit mine after I launched sometimes. Made NO difference.
