finished tuning the new turbo today ran out of injector at 19psi well ran out about 17psi but decided to run it leaner than normal just to keep boost up where it used to run.60lb seimens at 98% duty cycle with fueling in the 12's on 19psi seems we gained a heap of flow up top LOL hits full boost at 4000rpm totally no traction now on the street feels a bit soft cause it just cant grab the ground LOL think its physically impossible to street tune it any further LOL
we run hoosier quicktime pros in a 26x10 and 26x10.5 at the track as low as 12psi in them hot and they were only just holding before the upgrade boost hits hard 0psi to full boost in half a second hopefully they still stick its the last drag meeting this coming weekend then shes being retired from street dutys to become full drag car with full weld in cage and suspension upgrades LOL cant wait to see it run with 90/10's etc fitted it doesnt transfer weight well at the moment no front end rise to speek of LOL
Yeah we just borrowed some and scaled my mate's competition car was 29kg light on the right rear 90kg light on left front made a huge difference snapped the full spool in half 3rd pass after evening it all up lol.will scaling a soft monocock construction car do that much she's pretty old and flexible lol.we have contemplated just fitting a longer spring in the right rear or filling it with tennis balls just to see what happens it kicks the rear left every time so it needs more grip on the right rear for sure.
Most don't believe how much just scaling a car can do to understand why it won't hook up. The G body GM chassis has some cute tricks you can do, like adding 100 lbs of weight in the wheel well. This may be why you keep blowing the tires off easily. It may be a simple as adding some weight in the right places to get the tires to hook.
went back to testing ground definately needs more spring in the right rear leaves a much lighter color line behind the car on that side LOL might double up the swaybar too
Do a little research about the HR bar and it may give you some interesting ideas on how to control the traction issue. You preload it so you can get better traction.
drags done and dusted low 11's again due to not having time to get it fully spooled and a handbrake that couldnt hold the rears from turning and did a headgasket at 35 odd psi by accident when we had boost controller jamming issue went good to half track with no traction then the gasket went when the map sensor hose popped off must cable tie that one day LOL.ported cast heads going on while its apart and some new manifolds and a flange that actually matches the turbine footprint LOL and 4 inch dump pipe currently using pipe the same size as the exhaust wheel exducer .
Well after fitting so ported heads with bigger valves that we found and struggling to do low 11s we went back to stock ones.when refitting the springs we checked the pressure 90-100lb not good but we had to run them while waiting for New 145lb ones to arrive.New pb 10.505@129mph 1.56 60 104mph half track
and the car looks a bit different now gloss black new fibreglass bonnet 6 point roll bar plus race numbers LOL tech inspected to 10 flat also now has mikes transmissions usa ultimate beast transbraked 350
