Just lounging, but I just checked back and watched a chrome TR radiator cover go on eBay for $200 ....... and realized I think I have 2 of them laying in the basement for the last 3 years. MORON! That's 1/2 the price of a new turbo .... or a decent TV... or dinner for Anna Nicole Smith....

what shape are yours in?? Ill take one if you are want to sell it. How much??

I'll have to find them and check them out Frank. I'm hoping they have not become tarnished. I do run a dehumidifier in the summer, so I expect them to be in decent shape.

I checked it out last night guys. Here's the deal.... I had 3 of them. One I put on my car. I unwrapped the other 2. One is a stock piece (black), apparently never used. Now I recall I bought a brand new one and chromed my old one. I thought I chromed both of them.

The 3rd one IS chromed. Although it has no pits, tarnish, etc. and has never been used, I would not call it "show chrome". When they plate chrome they put a nickel finish on first. This piece has some of that nickel "wash" in the recessed/corner areas of the cover. It's more noticeable when you move it around and see it in the light. It looks like a light "tea stain". I've seen it before on chrome parts that have recesses and nooks and crannies.

Now I recall what happened. A list member hooked me up with the chromer he used. When I got it back I was not real happy with it, but I didn't want to give the guy a hard time because I didn't deal with the chromer one-on-one.

I'm not sure I could even capture the "stain" in a picture. I know I was disappointed between what I paid for the cover and then the chroming price!

It is noticeable...but I think it depends on the angle that you view it.

My friend has a digital camera. Why don't I take a few pics and see if it shows. That would give you a better idea.

How much .... that's a tougher call. I'm sure I have min. $120 into that thing, and I might be better off rechroming it again then selling at a loss. I'm not a parts-seller kind of guy, so I wouldn't want someone to be unhappy with it, nor would I mis-represent something.
