the alarm means you need to take your foot off the gas !!!!!
dont go into boost till you get the car straightened out and run a scanmaster
thats detonation your hearing not the actual detonation but someone hooked up an audible knock detector to the wires at the ecm at the passenger side foot well , i run one in mine , that alarm is the lift or walk home signal , usually takes 4 degrees of KR to set it buzzing
in your case putting the GNX in place off the digital doesnt matter but you have the same problem as someone who removed the stock analog dash and put in a gnx , you have no power to the MAP , the digital cars dont have power or ground for the map connector at the fender , for analog cars if the cluster is removed those cars no longer have power there either.
did you establish power to the map by jumping the 5v and ground from the TPS ?
if you didnt establish that power and ground you wont have a working map , no map no alky , then you get detonation from running a chip that has less fuel due to the anticipated alky spraying in, no alky low fuel and you will knock at much lower boost levels than a non alky chip
im fairly certain what you have isnt a razor alky kit or you would have known this by reading the instructions with his.
do you have a scanmaster ? ,
thats something you need to run with if you plan to go boosting in the alky level
im sure your getting KR and if alky isnt spraying your lean , thats a sure fire way to loose a head gasket or piston
