I was wondering what degree the stock thermostat on a series 1 was? According to my temperature gauge its a 180 degree, but every one talks about getting a 180 degree thermostat as a replacement. Would it be safe to say that i should put in a 160 degree stat. After my CAI im going to install a smaller boost pulley. Also I live in Texas where it doesnt get overly cold, so i don't think I would have the problem of it not starting.

i think stock is usually 190-195
you wont have a problem with your car starting because of a 160, its just like any other themostat,heats up just as fast, just opens up at 160
only problem, in the winter your heater isn't as warm...not a problem in texas, i guess
