Im looking for some parts for my boyfriend he is out of the country working. I would like to surprise him with some parts to finish to finish the 87 grand national he has and saved from the junkyard.

I know it needs a new engine, some interior work, and some body pieces. Im not letting him know Im doing this cause I want it to be a surprise and he dont have internet access where he is so Im safe. I only got 3 months to do this before he gets home.

Im also wondering what a 4.1 stroker or stage 2 motor is cause he talked about those some with his brother.

Hmmm....this can be a tall order. Do you know what he has done to the car since he had it? How much money are you working with? Some pictures of the car would help us see where it is too. I think a safe bet would be to get things like body panels or interior because he might have his eye set on specific engine/performance parts. On a side note, that's a very thoughtful thing you're proposing :smile:. Lucky dude.

I just started working as a nurse and Im living with my parents for now till he gets back. I know it needs the front fenders replaces and the thing around the headlights Im guessing a bumper cover?

He is in love with the GNX fenders, but dunno if he will like a set of them and as far as motor he has a faxt xfi computer setup for when he was going to do the swap into his s10. I know for a fact he wants to do disc brakes on it. His brother told me he always said stuff about putting a 4.1 or stage 2 motor in it. with 60 to 76mm turbo on it.

The car we have has been sitting for a little bit and he hasnt been able to do much with it at all.

This is an S-10 hybred if I remember right. Boy I wish I had a girfriend like this. My car would probibly be done by now.

Yes sir it was going to be, but he found the Grand National so the truck sits without a motor in it right now, but is finished.

His brothers will help me with the work side of it and some of the money we are just trying to find some parts for it. The car is in Louisiana.

Well make a list with the help of your brothers of all the interior/ engine parts your going to need and list them here or in the parts wanted and people will reply to you whether they have it. I dont have much that can help you since i am polishing my turd also...lol Good luck also i was there for like three years and i had internet the whole time...fyi...

ok well here is what Ive come up with off the top of my head and with alittle bit of help from his brothers that he wants for the car.

a intercooled motor (probably will need a wiring harness).

some basic bolt on performance parts.

bigger turbo.

front fender setup maybe a set with the GNX vents in it.(since I have heard him say he likes that look)

Some other various parts for the interior not real sure will have to go look at the car and see what it will need there.

A few spare engines so he can have something to build a nice motor with seeing as his brother said he wanted to build his own stroker.

a custom bezel for the gauges to all go into the dash to give it the sleeper look.

Get GNX fender vents from almost any supporting vendor on this board, no need to changs the fenders, an easy modification. I got mine from Dennis Kirban, a supporting vendor on this board.

Stage motor is very expensive, figure on $30k+ by the time you get it running, check in the Tech area, Stage II tech on this board.

I'm not very familiar with the Shreveport area, however good GN mechanics are in Valdosta,GA & Jack Cotton is also Someone you can work with , Or KDK in Orlando, FL.

its messing the front fenders. Im up against alot and I got 6,500 right now cause he has sold his truck to finish the car. Me and his brothers will add to it to see THIS car finished and I know it would be better for him to buy a different one, but he wants to do this one.

well dont know what his ultimate goal is with the vehicle. but if you look in the "for sale" section you can pretty much find any and all parts needed for a good performance package. seeing you have only so much to spend at the moment... ask his/your brothers for some help and guidance also. any one on this board is more then willing to help out. just try to sit down and figuer out what is your goal with the vechicle. that way we can guide you into the right direction... right now is hard to give you any type of guidence when no one knows what you are trying to accomplish with the vehicle. good luck. and i must say. i wish i had a girl friend/wife like you. he is very fortunate to have some one like you.. good luck..
