... what are you using as a USB <=> serial adapter? Will a simple adapter cable work? I'm seeing them for $15 online. Will these work, along with C-ComWP?

Please post if you get one and it works with the windows version. I had to buy a docking station for my Com-crap laptop to get a serial port. I would love to be able to use a simple USB to Serial converter instead of the docking station.

Well I bought the $80 Belkin adapter today just to hold me over until my $15 cable comes in I downloaded the XP drivers and it appears to be working (as Com 4 by default). I haven't tried it with the Speed-Pro ECU because it's late here but I will tomorrow for sure. I'll report back here if this one works...

Well..

It works. The Belkin USB to Serial adapter works great with C-ComWP, but it's $80 at Best Buy. Just change the Com port setting to Com4 (default Com port for Belkin's adapter) in C-ComWP and it should work. I'll let you all know how the $15 adapter works when it arrives next week

Yay

The cheap $15 USB to serial adapters work fine. I bought mine from www.compuvest.com but their service sucked. I would look elsewhere for the same part.
