This spring I'm going to need to replace the seats and carpet in my 84 T-type with burgundy interior.

Looking around for seats I've seen a few sets of GN seats with stains on the grey part. Always thinking I had this idea to get a set of GN seats and try to dye the grey parts burgundy. Would it even matter if dye got on the black parts?

With black carpeting and black carpet inserts on the doors, if it came out like I have it pictured in my mind, it would look pretty cool :D

I've never tried dying anything, think this would work?

I don't think you can dye synthetic material well. I tried dyeing a headliner once and it came out like crap. I ended up replacing it as originally planned but it was worth a try.

Just find the local uhpolstery shop in your area and have them redo them in what ever color you want. Have them replace the padding in the seat part and they'll be like new.
Tarey D.
