I felt some fraying inside the cable,
so. time for replacement

Just pulled it. It's in great shape except for one of the ears on the clip that holds it into the upper plenum bracket is broke off. It worked well for the 3 years that I had the car(didnt even know it was broke)

I can ship it to ya for $20.
