throttle spring. how is it supposed to be positioned?

a picture or diagram would be awesome. I am chasing irratic to high idle and i think part of the problem is my throttle spring (goes between throttle body and throttle cable bracket). i think i put it back wrong. my dumbass didn't take a pic before disassembly. thank you in advance!
