hey guys...

I disassembled the throttle-body on my '87 this afternoon and when I removed the throttle-stop screw the spring came off in 4 pieces!!
it's a little odd, the spring is "broken" into four equally sized pieces. has anyone seen this before??

does anyone know where I can find a replacement spring? I'm not talking about the throttle "return" spring, I'm talking about the spring that goes around the throttle stop screw (minimum air bleed).

I plan to check the local hardware store for a good substitute, but I doubt I'll find one.

Thanks for reading!

I'd recommend calling Brian Weaver at G Body Parts. See his website for contact info. Sure he can hook you up.

I just locktite'ed my threads (blue). Ive adjusted the idle quite alot sofar and it hasnt loosened. Other than that, you can check like a lawnmower shop for the springs they use on weedwackers or mowers' stops... Same thing for dirtbikes too.
