thrust bearing trick

It shouldn't affect oil pressure enough to notice unless you get really caried away. Something else you can do that in my opinion is better is to drill a small hole ,1/16" through the rear thrust face of the bearing and block into the oil fead hole for the bearing. Chamfer the hole in the bearing a little with a small center drill. We have done this for years on big block chevys and a few turbo buicks. I also do this on the front of the block on the thrust face for the cam.
