I hate to disagree with XxDarksidexX on this, but here are my experiences with the Tial 38mm.
I ran a Tial 38mm on my old Grey car with excellent results. The combo in a nut shell was a 274 CI Off Center with GN 1s, PT74 GT-Q non bb turbo with a .85 A/R PTE housing, Eastern SS 3" external wastegate downpipe with one Tial 38mm equipped with a large blue 14.5 psi spring. The wastegate hole on my turbine housing was ported to the exact same diameter as the piping that was on my downpipe, which I believe was 1.75" OD. I ran a manual bleeder valve that was mounted in the center console. I had perfect boost control from as low as 17psi with the valve closed and a maximum of 32psi.
Yes, everyone told me I was going to have problems with boost control with this wastegate and that I should have gone bigger for the power I was making. (around 850-860 fwhp) But it worked flawlessly. I do recommend a 44mm for use on applications making more than 800 hp or on turbos larger than a 70 GT-Q tho, I was just trying to replace a old worn out Deltagate and didn't want to alter anything. The Supra guy probably had control issues because of the extreme amounts of exhaust flow from a mild 2JZ combo. I only wish our setups were as efficient as the 2JZ.
They make two different valve stem options for the 38mm. One that is specifically designed to be used with leaded race gas and one that is not.

I recommend this wastegate to all my friends who are looking to replace either a Deltagate or an old ATR gate. For what it's worth, I ran C16 in this car all the time and only took it to the track maybe 3-4 times a year, BG was one of them, never had a problem with the valve sticking or any problems. The one I had did not have the specific valve stem for use with leaded race gas. Guess I just got lucky. Tial will get you straight with your issues. Good company.
Just my O2's worth.
