I finished a recirculating BOV installation and thought I'd share some pics.
This is Bob's car.

call this a stupid question but why would you do that? what the advantage?

Don, great fab work but curious...

I thought the chip had a Decel feature that wouldn't allow the car to stall while the BOV is venting hence no need for the recirc?

You gotta keep up with some of his posts guys. The reroute of the gasses will allow the turbo to keep it's speed up when shifting. Nice Job Donnie. Tell us how it works on the track when you get a chance. I just might be able to run a standard for road course after all. Totally cool.

The recirculating BOV will let the maf sensor reading during decel more resemble what usually happens when there is no BOV installed. The customer was also dealing with a lot of surge on decel and wanted something in place to help out the turbo bearings, but was not interested in the import sound.
The car is back with Bob and he's breaking in the motor. It's due back soon for a head retorque. We did the motor for him too.

Volkswagen and audi have been running this design for a while on their turbo cars due to the size of their turbos this helps them keep the turbo spooled while shifting gears .I wonder how it will work on a big turbo.

Yeap a stupid question it is ;) :D , To add to Charlief1's comment it also makes it quieter (sp:rolleyes: ), rather then venting it to the atmosphere.

Now how about some sound clips :D

Very very nice clean setup Don.

I run a Blitz vented to the atmosphere with no issues on mine. I got sick of the surging and bucking my car was doing after spool and lifting off the gas. The BOV stopped that and its a much smoother drive now.
One thing that annoyed me was hitting the resume on the cruise and the car would go into a little boost and the buck like described. Not anymore and it sounds cool to

I didn't see where he mentioned anything about shifting, but is this a manual trans, rally raced GN since he's concerned with spool up on shifts??

The sound reason makes sense, it's definitely much deader sounding, I barely hear my Forge and surging can be annoying at times.

I took a quick vid of the car after adjusting the spring in the BOV. The BOV was supplied with a spring that was too heavy. We weren't getting much BOV action with the supplied spring. We ordered a lighter spring and installed it. Black was the color code for the spring.
Not much to really hear. There's a very quick noise as the valve is first unseating, and then absolutely nothing. Not very exciting at all. Not like the musical instruments under most import hoods.

I'll post the link to the vid as soon as I get a chance to post it.
