Ticking sound when warmed up

I have a ticking sound when it's warmed up. It's not a header. What is in the trans that can make this sound? I only hear it when I turn or when I put it in Park after I've been driving around.

The trans use to shift hard and firm but it getting progressively weaker over the last several months. I'm getting ready for a rebuild soon.

What can cause this sound? Does anyone know?

Mike..how much for a rebuild?

Century Trans. I'll be coming to you soon.

How much for a decent rebuild? No converter. Out of the car.

Car only runs 13.00's but still working on making it faster. Car will only see high 11's low 12's.

Mike at Century is a great guy. You will be very happy with his work I am sure. The noise is much like what you would have with a flex plate. Check it out first and let us know. Mark
