You asked me, so I'll tell it like I see it.The strongest set out there is also the cheapest. A link and iron gear setup is FAR stronger than a double roller. the improvement on rollers is basically less friction. One of the downsides of rollers is noise. Specifically, noise that might set off your knock detector.
I am in the middle of an engine rebuild, and am using a Melling stock replacement.It will last until my nephews get the car, in about 30 years, hopefully. I bet that aftermarket companies like Edelbrock outsource items like timing chains, so you are probably getting a Melling or FM piece in a different box.You could call them an ask, if they will admit it.
