tire spin

Hi guys- BFG Drag Radials(255/50-16s, 20PSI, 4lbs of boost, posi works perfectly, no wheel hop at all, and all I get is spin. Do I still have too much air in the tires, or what? It'll spin 'til it shifts into second(too soon, computer just thinks the car is moving faster). I've seen some other cars hook really well on the same street, so that's not it either. Any thoughts will be appreciated! Thanks- Al

I had a similar combo to yours on my first GN, with 275/50/15 BFG DRs, and ran them at ~30psi on the street. I could never launch them at over a pound of boost on the street without spinning. At the track though, I ran 14psi, and had a 1.59 60' time.

If I launch while the boost is climbing(between 1 and 3 psi), I get one chirp, and they hook. Anything more, and it's spin through first. At least I know it's "normal" now, and I'm not alone! Thanx for the come-back, Al
