Tired of Stall Coverter....

I don't race, have no desire to race and just want a nice cruiser(I get to drive a car every night as fast as I want).....The guy I bought my car from put a high stall converter in it, but for normal street driving all it helps me get is about 11 MPG. I am thinking of swapping out to a stock converter. Where is a good place to get one at a decent price? Or what is a better alternative for a non-racer?

was told

it is an Art Carr(sp) 3200 high stall. Good for racing as it lets the engine spool up, bad for daily driver as super unleaded costs a left nut/gallon.
