I hope you checked the port alignment before you put them on! The bolt holes would line up fine but look at the port alignment on the end tube! This was the same on each side. These will require additional welding and grinding to get them matched properly.

I'm still using my genuine ATR's at the moment.

More cheap junk???
Looks as tho the old cliche', "no free lunch", extends to Chinese made car parts.

What next?

I'm not quite understanding how China's mass production system works, are they using crayon outlined construction paper for templates and cardboard for jigs?

I have been preaching this since they hit the shores last year... Junk junk and more junk..

First was poisoned dogfood then bad toothpaste now millions of toys are being recalled, gotta love that COMMUNIST CHINESE quality.

I actually have two sets of these China headers. One set was made on a Tuesday about 10AM. I know this because all the tubes were welded on the flanges centered and there's no "extra" piping protruding down where they are welded in the collector. Someone actually ported and blended these nicely. I would say 97% as nice as I would have done it myself.

The other set must have been made on a Friday afternoon 10 minutes before closing time....IF you know what I mean. The tubes are welded off-set to the flanges and in the collector there's about 3/4" of tube hanging in the open. The flange ports are not at all what you would expect if wanted nice smooth airflow and the welds have lots of large "slag" on the inside like the welder had the heat turned up too high and burned through.

So I guess you got the head gaskets? Good luck can't wait to see how see runs!!!!!

Some yrs ago, I was involved in a transmission/converter production program with these morons.. We cancelled the project, as no 2 pieces were alike... Never mind being to print.

My magic wand is carrying the car to Jay's house:biggrin:

Good luck man. That would be awesome to get that car in the 9's, it is so unique. Them boyz in New Bern would drop logs:wink:

I'm thinking the Buick community should throw some business Pakistans way. I'm hearing good things about that Paki quality, plus a shrewd business man can maybe get us a free rug thrown in with the deal.

Well I got around to cleaning up my headers today and ending up usingthegasket supplied since the Felpro 1400 would not line up as well as the one provided however the 1400 may line up better on the head. As you can see I used some hitemp red to hold the gasket in place after I cut it and hopefully I will be able to ust screw in the studs and slide the header on. "TURBO1DR" The same port you have pictured is the same one I just took a port bit too and fixed wasn't that much to take away.

For the price there isn't much effort in cleaning these units up.
I have a set here with a 3.5 down pipe everything looks above & beyond for the price & the effort.

Have you installed yet? If so how was the fit? I am waiting to install mine when time allows.

The style of header that turbo1dr has is the ATR style which we know has lots of fitment issues. The style that RUQWKNF27 has is the TA style. They are completely different!

Turbo1dr sorry to hear you having a bad time with the headers.
