to buy or not to buy a '79 sport coupe??

I have the chance to acquire for free a '79 Sport Coupe. I just need to pick it up. It does not run, blown head gasket, and turbo is shot. No body rust, just the usual interior fade and ruined vinyl top. I am in need of some advice. I am mechanically inclined, previous cars were a '55 210 post and '67 Camaro, just not so sure if it is worth the time to restore?!?! Any help would be much appreciated.
