Since there doesn't seem to be much market on here, figured I'd see if they would trade for what I want, a 2005 R6. IMO for them it would be a good deal, bike retails for $8,100, they probably pick it up for $6,000.

Even trade for a clean high 10 second TR. Make sense to me, maybe I'm crazy.

Anyway, guy tells me it's a "$4500 car". I've been nice to the guy up until this point, when he says this I just laughed in his face. He then proceed to tell me that the GN they have there, (stock motor, TE44, V4, 38#'s, 10", DFI, etc) is just as fast as mine.

Got a good laugh out of it. Time to put the car away for the winter.

Call him back, tell him you're sorry for laughing and offer $4500 for his. See how long it stays worth $4500.

He gave me his card, I should.

Or I should just show up there in mine and take him up on that "my GN is faster". :D

Run em titles for the bike. That would be interesting.;)

I'd almost tell him to pick any bike they have in there and I'd wear him out, but they have a few R1's sitting around. :o

i'd definatlly call and appologise, offer him $4500 for his, or maybe even $5000 so he makes a little on the deal. OR tell him to run them, if he wins you agree to sell him the car for $4500, if you win he agrees to pay whatever you want.

Great bike, but please do not trade your car in on one

Look, in 5 years, that bike will be worth all of $4,500, and you'll just want something else. Bikes develop and change so rapidly, that this years must have bike is next years has-been.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have an '04 R1, but my '03 SV1000 is just fine with me, even if it isn't quite as intense :D

Here's a pic, just for the Hell of it :D

I just want something to keep me amused through school until I'm done and can have the time/money to buy another Buick. :)
