My top half of my motor is gonna get taken apart. And my question is what gaskets will I need to rebuild the top half. And where can I get them

What is the best way to go with head gaskets? Also for intake, turbo to intake, valve covers?

Thanks
Allan

Is this still the original 84/5 block??? If so, I would go to your Buick dealer and get the factory steel shim head gaskets and the steel intake manifold gasket...Now would also be a good time to pull your timing chain cover and replace your timing chain, so you would also need the timing cover gasket set, which you can get from the auto parts stores along with the stock style timing chain set with the the steel sprockets...Get a updated roller bearing cam button and new tensioner from the Buick dealer as well...Valve cover gaskets from either the dealer or auto parts stores...Basically, when at the dealer, tell them you want the top end cyl head gasket kit #12328754...have them double check that number...I just found it in my 44w parts book...should still be good...(it should have the steel shim head gaskets, intake manifold gasket and the valve cover gaskets)...

Now if you have the 86/7 109 block, I would go with the #12328759 top end gasket kit for the 86/7 motors...The other stuff I mentioned is the same...
