what mph will our cars do in third, want to know when i will need to put it in od. thanks

Unless your heads are ported, it won't go much faster than 115 mph in 3rd.

Even with ported heads, don't try to go over 120. OD should be able to take over by then.

My setup has done 125 in third in the 1/4.Still pulling too.

Depending on converter slip and tire growth, 125 mph with a 275/50 would be somewhere between 5700 and 6000 RPM.

The stock cam is done in the 5.2-5.4K range.

ive got poston lifters and there small cam ? 204/204 i think so is it ok to take my motor past 4500 becouse thats were it shifts in d ?

Mine shifted at 5600 with the 206/206 comp cam.
