how do you calculate how much your converter is slipping. I would really like to know how much im loosing. im sure its alot. i have a a Brand X converter 275/60 15's MT et street radials and a built motor running an XFI so i have data logs. anyways please let me know how to figure this out. i can post my data if need be.

ok. i have tryed a few different calulators and im getting #'s all across the board. from what i have seen my converter is getting tired, real tired.

TCI has some good online calculators: TCI - TECHNICAL INFORMATION: Racing Calculators Basically you take the mph, tire height, trans gear ratio, and rear end ratio and calculate what the engine rpm should be with no slippage, then calculate the percentage of extra rpm. For example say you should be turning 5000 rpm and you see 5500 rpm on the log. 5500-5000=500 extra rpm and 500/5000=0.1, *100%=10% slippage. The tricky part is getting the mph and rpm at the exact same time, and knowing the tire height or diameter.

Well I would say my converter is crap un-locked 27% slip. I need to lock it and see what happens I guess
