Hey Guys,
I am working on a mostly stock TTA, with stock motor mounts.

I wanted to install a torque strap on this (the owner does not want to use poly mounts). Anybody do this before? If so any pics to explain how you mounted it?

I looked around over the past weekend to get an idea of how it might be installed and came up empty :)

Thx!

I had straps and engine anchors on all my cars. You can make your own for about $5.

Thanks for the reply! Do you have any more pics of the engine with the ratchet strap? I am trying to get an idea of how it was routed and where it was connected to.

Thanks again for your help!

I dont have a pic of the bottom, but if you dangle it from the alt. eye bolt and get under the car, there is a spot near or on the K member IIRC.

Thank you!!! I will give this a shot, this was a HUGE help!

Appreciate it!

these are the engine tie downs they used to sell for the TT/A specific application.
it goes from the alternator to the shock tower
