Ok, 100% street trim(stock boost, non locked converter, street tires, ect,,,). My first ever run(in my buick) was my best. I left on no boost just stalled up a little.
60' 2.096
1/8 8.513
mph 84.88
1/4 13.087
mph 107.91
max boost was 16 psi. I couldn't siphon out the 93 octane(~5 gals) so I added 5 gal of 110 leaded and stayed w/ the RA 93 chip. The track temp was about 75 deg(much hotter than it's been here in 3 weeks). There were no other buicks there but several 11 sec LS1's. I had a great time overall!

Nice

Wow! 13.0 with 16 psi on a stock turbo is really good. REALLY good.

An RA 93 chip? That only has about 20* of timing. 16 psi of Boost! Are you sure?

Are you pulling our chains?

no chain pulling allowed

Thats what the autometer boost guage read. There was a pretty strong tailwind though. Actually , I didn't look at the guage at the track but tried it several times on the way home. 3rd gear peaked at 16 psi. :D . I made several other runs. On one, I just mashed the pedal on green(no braking,no nothing), went 13.3 @ (looking at slip) 106.4 . Last pass I tried to build some boost on the line:eek: , bad idea. 2.97 60 ' and a 13.3 @ 107.75. So this is pretty good? I was happy with it , considering I drove it there, added gas and ran a 13.0.

Jorge:
Did you read his sig line? He's got enough "go-fast" parts to run low 12's to high 11's, if tuned properly. I'm not shocked about what he ran on 16psi, per all the other goodies. However, if a RA93 chip does have only 20* timing, then YES, he should crank the boost up to 19-20psi with a race fuel mix, and he'll be moving along just fine then. I went 111 mph w/ a stock turbo and 17-18psi, so his number may very well be right.
I'd be much more curious to see what it does with some real tires and that extra boost...???

next time I'll be ready! I'll have a data logging scan tool when I go back. I used a mac scan tool this trip but never looked at it. All I remember looking at is 85-blink-85-blink-85-blink.:)

That's exactly what I was thinking too.
This is easily a low 12 second car with slicks and some
minor tweaks. 107 on the big end is pretty darn good:cool:

Ross, If you could spool the turbo and build some boost
on the starting line, you'd be looking and a low 12 time slip.
Use good fuel, start turning up the boost, and also start
looking at your Mac scantool instead of looking at
85-blink 85-blink 85-blink....

Next thing you know, you'll be puttin the hurt on those LS1's:D

You think it could go low 12's like it sits w/ traction or do you mean in "race trim"(108 RA chip, locked converter and 22lbs). Also, I think it was about to run out of gear. Again, I didn't look at the scan tool but it was twisting up pretty high. I will probably go w/ 275/60 DR's(275/50 's radials on it now). I don't think the mac will data log so I'm not going back until I'm ready. There were 3 or 4 Ls1's there in the mid 11"s. Very few mustangs, no imports. My last run was against a Ls1 that went 12.1. On a side note. The starter asked me if I needed some extra time on the tree to "spool it up".

Race trim

Since you are at the race track, you should have it in race trim.
No two TR's are the same, so try different setups with yours
and see what it likes. If you run the lower timing 93 chip,
throw some more boost at it and see how it performs.
Judging by your timeslip, your car runs pretty well on the
93 chip, experiment with it and see how much it'll give you.
Then try the 108 chip, with more conservative boost levels,
and see what it does.
It's all about tuning your combo to its max potential,
whatever the combo may be. Use only high octane fuel
when racing, and tweak the setup each time to see how
it reacts.
Whatever you do, tune it for ZERO knock. When you start
getting knock, it's telling you to back off a bit.
No point in hurting your parts just for a good timeslip:mad:

DR's will help, but slicks would be the best for boosted launches.
I could only run a high 12 with my DR's, low 12's with slicks.
HTH:)
What kind of fuel system do you have?
Adjustable fuel psi regulator?
Good fuel pump?

I forgot to read his sig. :o My bad. I just read "stock boost, non lock up, street tires" and I thought I saw stock turbo (read my first post where I mentioned a stock turbo for some reason) :o . I guess I must have read someone elses sig.

Ross, those are still nice times for 16 psi from a TA49. You should have no problem going deep into the 12's (11's will be there with good tires and a nice tune) once you crank up the boost.

My appologies, I just thought "Damn, 13.0 with a stock turbo at 16 psi and a sh!tty 2.0 60', Wow!"

Keep up the good work.

thanks for the encouragement. The fuel system is a 340 hot wired and an adj fuel pressure regulator. I set it on 43 psi w/ the line off. If you believe those hp calculators ;) , its making about 371. . I really like this car! btw, It just turned over 50K on way home from the track:mad: thanks again!!
